Purchase Habitat Enhancement Zone Burial Rights

The Habitat Enhancement Zone is an area between the forest and meadow where grasses, shrubs and trees will be planted on or around burial sites after burial. Having a place of transition between forest and meadow increases biological diversity. Planting on burial sites is led by the Greensprings Land Steward. Families are welcome to participate.

Burial Rights must be purchased for each individual who intends to be interred at Greensprings. We encourage you to purchase Burial Rights ahead of time. Though it’s not required. Planning ahead alleviates financial concerns for loved ones during a difficult time. Following an online purchase, we will contact you to offer further assistance, help you choose your site and provide you with a receipt and a deed.

After the burial is scheduled, the Burial Service Fee will be due. Greensprings cannot anticipate the cost of Burial Service Fees in the future so we cannot accept pre-payment for these services though Funeral Homes will often accept pre-payment for the Burial Service Fee and for their costs as well. Our current Burial Service Fees are:

• Standard Burial Service Fee: $1,200

• Cremains Burial Service Fee: $550

• Infant Burial Service Fee (up to 1 year old): $300
